Back in 1985, a few Jaycees had the crazy idea that the Quad Cities area needed a one stop bridal fair. Around 20 local merchants agreed and signed up to be part of such a fair. Thus, Bridal Expo, now operating as Wedding Expo, was born. The demand for such an event became shockingly evident, as hundreds of brides arrived to plan their dream wedding at that first expo.
